The town’s narrow cobblestone streets, ancient citadel, and artisan bazaars create an immersive historical atmosphere. Day 2 – Sarisalltik Ridge & Transfer to Lepusha

Morning begins with the ascent of Sari Salltik, a limestone ridge directly overlooking Kruja. The trail winds through Mediterranean vegetation, rocky outcrops, and traditional shepherd paths. From the summit, sweeping vistas extend across central Albania, the Adriatic coastline, and the distant peaks of the northern Alps. The climb is moderate but rewarding, serving as both acclimatization and a gentle immersion into Albania’s alpine environment. After descending, we transfer north into the dramatic landscapes of the Albanian Alps, reaching the alpine village of Lepushë. The hike begins in dense forest and gradually transitions to open limestone ridges, exposing hikers to panoramic views of the Accursed Mountains and deep alpine valleys below. Reaching the summit offers a spectacular sense of accomplishment and a true perspective of the rugged borderlands. The descent leads into the remote Grbaja Valley, where towering cliffs frame verdant pastures. This area remains largely untouched, creating a sense of wild isolation. The serene lakes, framed by dramatic limestone cliffs, offer a perfect spot for rest and photography. After enjoying the lakes, the hike continues to Rosi Peak, a commanding vantage point offering sweeping views across the surrounding highlands. From this summit, hikers can admire the vast alpine scenery stretching toward Valbonë and beyond. Continuing to Boshit Peak, hikers are rewarded with one of the region’s most remarkable viewpoints. From the summit, three valleys unfold below: Valbona, Theth, and Curraj i Epërm, offering an unparalleled perspective of the Accursed Mountains’ vastness and complexity. After taking in the panorama, we descend back toward Rrogam, where a transfer returns the group to Valbona for a well-earned evening of rest in the hotel.
